I'm finally sitting at home resting for a bit. Just got home from a Crowley Chamber of Commerce Silent Auction and Dinner. The food was good and the guest speaker was the Lt. Governor of Louisiana. It was nice. Although we are on different sides of the political scene he had some very nice things to say about tourism and our state.
My day started off at Heidi's awards ceremony at school where she really racked up. She was awarded the Woodmen of the World Award as well as certificates for her scores on the ILeap and for making all A's and B's (1) this year. She did very well I think. Brent had his earlier and he got awards for all A's and B's and for his scores on the GEE. They both did very well and we are very proud of them. Glad the school years is over for the year though so that we can "rest" somewhat.
It has been very hot around here the last few days so we are attempting to stay cool. One more week till vacation..YEAH

I WASN'T RAISED IN THE SOUTH BUT I GOT HERE AS FAST AS I COULD
I am blessed to be married to my best friend for 18 years now and we have two beautiful children, Brent is 16 and Heidi is 13. My children are my greatest accomplishment. My husband has been a UPS driver for 19 years and I recently returned to work as an office manager after being a stay at home mom for 11 years. I enjoy my work, however I am a wife and mother first. We love to travel and spend time together as a family , we love LSU sports but most of all we love God from whom all blessings flow.

Tell me about it......it seems like yesterday I was doing the diapering thing....can't believe yours are that old either....come see us if you're ever down this way. You need to start a blog so we can keep up with you too. I really enjoy Melissa's.
